Fall 2011: Post-Irene renovations

When Tropical Storm Irene hit Rutland on Sunday August 28, 2011, we had about 4 feet of floodwater in our lower level (the kennel and grooming areas) and about 6 inches on the main floor of our hospital.  While virtually all of our moveable equipment was saved (and of course, all the animals), our building suffered a fair amount of damage.

Dr. Gifford viewed the necessary repairs as a chance for renwal; renovations were planned to make the Riverside facility better than it had ever been before!
